Welcome to the journal of Secret Frank 2005, where its participants can post anonymously for contact with their giftees. This year you'll be sending two gifts sometime between now and January 1, 2006. The suggested price range for each present is $5-$10, but of course this isn't anything more than a general guideline.
What to do...
After you know who your giftee is:
Post to this journal with a line like "I am soandso's secret frank. If you have any questions, contact me here." This will be your only post to this journal, and your giftee's sole means of contact with you. Since comments will be sent to my email, I'll try to notify you when you get them.
Start thinking of present ideas! Don't put your gift-giving off; January will be here before you know it.
When you're ready to send a gift:
Put it in a package (/envelope/whatever) and add the appropriate postage. Don't write anything on this one.
Put that package in another, and mail it to me.
After you send it, tell me, so I know when to expect it. When I do, I'll mail the inside package to your giftee.
When you receive a gift:
Let your SF know; comment on her post at this journal. We all hate being left in the dark.
Post about it in your journal (SF filter or otherwise)! This isn't necessary, but fun, especially for me because I'd like to see what everyone else is getting.
When you want to contact your giftee:
Log in to this journal (password is posted on the first entry) and comment on her journal.
When you want to contact your Secret Frank:
Comment on their post at this journal.
While some of the work before has been impressive, I decided not to let gifts sent online (i.e. banners, drawings, writing) count as real gifts. You may send extras voluntarily to be a nice person, though!
